I first became aware of Skye when she was playing in the band Skursula, and we were scheduled to play a show together in Macomb, IL. That band broke up just before the show happened, and so we didn't meet there. But we talked here and there, and years later we randomly ran into each other in her kitchen, though I had no idea it was her kitchen. I was there hanging out with David Strackney, whose project (Paleo) I was soon to be a part of. David introduced me to Skye's solo music, and a few months later, Skye's solo debut "Dark Pines" became the first album I'd release on OMO that I did not play on.
Later, Skye would also join Kirtan Choir, lending her particularly lyrical and whimsical violin playing to that project.
I'm so pleased to have her on in the OMO family.
